Holy crap, long time no post.
The problem is, Iapos;m currently doing a rotation in Lima (Ohio, not Peru, I wish) and I donapos;t get internet here so I have to use the internet in the doctorapos;s lounge and I feel weird updating my blog there. I must say though, I check my email once a day, I read lj when no one else is around (rarely) and thus far, the world has not ended. According to Ran, itapos;s showing signs of ending but I guess it takes this stuff longer to get to Ohio.

Anyway, things are going so intensely, incredibly, superwell that it is hard for me to describe it all in one post. Seriously, this is the happiest Iapos;ve been in a really long time. Iapos;m doing a general surgery rotation in Lima with the absolute most awesomest, laid-back group of surgeons on the planet. Sometimes they donapos;t start until 8AM, sometimes they let me eat lunch, and sometimes Iapos;m done before 6PM. AND they let me be first assistant for a lot of procedures. I got to be first assist for an open cholecystectomy and a right hemicolectomy last Friday, I got to do a skin graft, retract the anus for hemorrhoid surgery, and all this other fun stuff.

Honestly, Iapos;m pretty sure this is gonna be it. I mean, Iapos;m pretty sure Iapos;m gonna wind up going into some sort of surgery. This is far and away the happiest iapos;ve been since I started med school. OK someone just walked in, gotta cut it short, much love and Iapos;ll post more tomorrow when I have time, I just wanted to let everyone know Iapos;m still alive.
